Agentic Frameworks

code libraries that give developers the building blocks for AI agents, such as model calls, tools, memory, and multi-step orchestration

Who they are and what they are good at

These are code frameworks. Engineers compose models, tools, state, and approvals into agents that call APIs. They are open source, widely used, and very good at custom logic over data that has endpoints.

A naming note: Google's ADK and LaunchAI are unrelated. One is a code kit for engineers. LaunchAI Studio is a desktop app that builds agents by listening, watching, and doing.

Where frameworks stop for messy back-office work

A framework reaches anything an engineer writes code for. In practice that means APIs, models, and state. Everything around them is your team's build.

  • Screens with no API. A Yardi Voyager renewal screen or a Windows ERP needs a computer use tool, plus a hosted machine, a login, and credentials your team manages.
  • The review screen. interrupt() and confirmations pause the run. The queue, the approval screen, and the record of who approved are features you write.
  • Evidence. Traces hold prompts and tool calls. Proving what was typed into the ERP is another build.
  • Rule changes. Thresholds live in the repository, so changing one is a code change and a deploy.
  • Resume behavior. When LangGraph resumes after interrupt(), the interrupted node reruns from its first line. A write placed before the pause runs twice unless an engineer makes it idempotent.

LaunchAI ships those parts in one app: screen reach, a built-in review step, screenshots of every action, and Rules and Tables the business edits. More on Product →.

Published entry points in September 2026: LangSmith Developer is free for one seat and Plus is $39 per seat a month; CrewAI Basic is free for 50 executions a month; Google ADK and the OpenAI Agents SDK are free. In every case the largest cost is engineering time.

When to choose a framework

The data has endpoints and engineers own the logic, like monthly renewal pricing from a data warehouse.

You are shipping a customer-facing chatbot or product feature at volume.

You are building pipelines between systems with clean APIs.

You want a crew of agents researching and drafting from warehouse data.

Your platform team already runs on Google Cloud or a similar stack.

When to choose LaunchAI

  • The work ends in a screen with no write API: entering renewal offers in Voyager, generating the letter, publishing to the resident portal.
  • The person who owns the process should own the agent, and change a threshold by editing a table.
  • You need a review step and per-action evidence without building them.

Better together

The framework thinks, LaunchAI enters. The framework writes recommendations to a shared table. A LaunchAI agent picks up each approved row, re-checks it on the live ERP screen, enters it, routes large ones to a manager, and writes the reference back.

Both can run on the same OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure, Bedrock, or self-hosted model account, so one contract covers both.

FAQ

Is LaunchAI Studio built on Google's Agent Development Kit?

No. Google's ADK is a code framework for engineers. LaunchAI Studio is a desktop app that builds and runs agents on screens.

Can a framework agent operate Yardi's screens?

Only if engineers add a computer use tool and host the machine it drives. The loop, credentials, review screen, and evidence then become theirs to build. See Claude Computer Use →.

Is the OpenAI Agents SDK limited to OpenAI models?

No. It supports OpenAI's APIs and more than 100 other models.

Does CrewAI depend on LangChain?

No. It is a standalone Python framework with its own primitives.

Can LaunchAI run our existing Python?

Yes, as a hook on a single step, while the rest of the workflow stays no-code.

No prompts. No babysitting. No Integrations.
